Our Programmes

Active Link works ‘together’ with young people who are disengaged in education. Using physical activity as a hook, we co-create programmes with proven benefits, not only for the young person, but the young person’s family, school and wider community.

Contributing to academic attainment

“I was amazed at the change in attitude and behaviour of the young people involved who really brought into the sessions. Even my very, very reluctant girls who we have found very difficult to get involved with physical education, were absolutely participating and getting involved”
Judith Traill, Head of the Link Centre, CoBS

Opportunities for young people

“I found it good and very enjoyable, I like the activities and taking part in something different outside of the classroom”

Support for parents/carers

Building the confidence in knowing they are not alone

“Thank you so much for the support. He has had a good day and had a positive call from his teacher. He spoke very highly of you so something has hit him so just wanted to say thank you”.

Specialist behavioural training and support

We deliver training workshops for teachers which will focus on the way behaviour is viewed and managed within the school setting; these workshops have been devised in collaboration with Marie Gentles, OBE, a renowned behavioural advisor for the government.

We also offer these workshops to parents/carers too.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is every body's business

We work with some of the most vulnerable young people in society. It is therefore extremely important to us to ensure all staff are fully trained in the processes and procedures.

Tim Rogers, is our safeguarding consultant. Tim is one of the UK’s leading authorities for the protection and safeguarding of children and adults at risk. A former Detective for Warwickshire Police, Tim managed offenders within the Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangement arena as well as being a Graduate of the CEOP (Child Exploitation Online Protection Centre) Academy.
